ramit
It's almost inconceivable as well as unforgivable but i forgot Buxton, so Baird at right center and Bucko on his left.

Ramzabac
If you were to make a decision now, assuming no more players arrive and taking into account who's likely to be match fit, who would make your starting XI for the first game of the season and in what system?I'd go 4-3-3Grant, Baird, Keogh, Pearce, Forsyth, Thorne, Bryson, Hughes, Weimann, Ince, Martin Personnel agreed apart from the keeper. My money is on Carson starting the first game, but it's a close call. But I think it will be 4-4-
The Scarlet Pimpernel
If we go 4-4-2 with a diamond how about:............................................Carson......................................Baird......................Keogh...... .........Shackell..............Warnock............................................Thorne..................................................................Bryson.................................................Hughes..............................................................Martin..................................................................................Ince............................Weimann...................................Gone for huge experience in defence with pace in attack. Philmycock
So basically:GrantInceMartin Play a formation consisting of 3 players.Maybe he was just having a little fun?
Leicester Ram
GrantBaird, Keogh, Pearce (C), ForsythThorne HughesInce Bryson WeimannMartinSee how 4-2-3-1 goes, if not switch back to 4-3-3. I'd consider Dawkins for Bryson if he was about, feel like playing the 10 role in a 4-2-3-1 could finally be his position.
Alph
I'm obsessed with 4231.2 defensive midfielders to protect the CB's1 defensive midfielder to go and back up attacks as an out ball. 3 attacking midfielders where you can pretty much play as wide as you like because you have 3 players still in the mid field. Most flexible formation. Simple jobs. 1 substitution and it can be 442, 433... whatever. Anything you want with just 1 sub if you don't need 2 DM's. GrantBaird, Keogh, Pearce, ForsythThorne, Hughes Ince, Bryson, WeimannMartin. I'd love to see Martin play in the 3 with Bent upfront for a couple of friendlies because Martin created some great situations on the odd time he's played behind him. But that for Bolton would do me. Loved Hughes playing there v Wolves. Not on his own so he has some freedom. Won't happen though.

seths-cap
You know you've got a good squad when your struggling to fit players in.Carson,Isak, Keogh, Shackell, Forsyth,Thorne, Bryson,Ince, Martin, Russell,WeimannSubs, Grant, Pearce, Hughes, Hendrick, Bent, Baird, WarnockWe do need another winger though. I'd love to see Ibe back on a season long loan, that would make this squad almost ographic!
SaintRam
GrantBaird, Keogh, Pearce, Forsyth Thorne Bryson Hughes Ince Martin Weimann/Russell (pretty 50/50 on those two at the moment, Weimann is technically better but Russell's combination with Martin is better than anyone else's)
Leicester Ram
We're going to be considerably more flexible next year, at any rate.
Animal is a Ram
After Clement's comments last night.. he seemed much happier after the 4-1-3-2 experiments. Grant Isak Keogh Pearce Forsyth Thorne Hendrick Hughes Ince Martin Weimann I'm not a massive fan of this - not a lot of width means that the full backs will have to bomb on. Thorne would have to drop back, which wastes him in my opinion. Baird looked to be doing this against Grimsby, and it seemed to work well.I'm also not sure about Hughes being in there - he's looked poor over preseason so far, (I haven't watched the Meppen highlights, but he was playing the tip of the diamond) he was dropping far too deep - to the point that he almost looked like a holding mid vs. Grimsby. I'm not worried. As I said, Clement's comments seemed a lot more positive than in the aftermath of Northampton Town, and they did have me a bit nervy, especially that they weren't quite getting the point. Hopefully, a week in close proximity will soon have that remedied - sounds like we are headed in the right direction.

SaintRam
Hes at DM for the first, I think Ssewankambo might get his debut against Bolton tbhOh so he is, I couldn't imagine anyone leaving Thorne out so I didn't even look there. I don't think Isak will start, he didn't even play at RB yesterday, he played in front of Christie. May well become a starter later in the season but I personally doubt it'll happen on opening day.
