If he happy to play second fiddle i'd have got Steve Davies back. No jokes please.

Wouldn't have baulked at that. Better to save the wages and spend the on a loan of better pedigree if we have to though? Hard to say. Better if Chrissy stays here, and stays fit of course.

I would suggest that complacency is an attitude rather that a position.

Taking a position involves a degree of thought and decision making.

Mmmmh. Not an ideal vehicle this for debate and rather surprisingly, having met you, I find I would much prefer to do it around a table drinking a beer .  I think you can have position complacency as in job complacency. I suspect come the end of the season review we will find that some of the positions/players we thought at this stage might be weak will have proved otherwise, and that some of the positions/players where we think now we might be strong may turn out to be in some cases a bit of a disappointment.  Anyway, it has taken me 10 mins I think to type this which is entirely due to the fact I have consumed too much alcohol too quickly, so I shall wish you good night.

Most people feel the need for alcohol when they meet me

Yeah agreed on that one.

In fairness, if every fan you consider a half fan became what you'd consider a full fan, it would be a complete lottery as to who got tickets or not

Good question, and IMO it depends on how we play.

If we go for a 4-3-3, I'd say right-back in quality. If we go with two in midfield, I'm going to be controversial and say our midfield. I don't think Bryson, Hendrick or Hughes have the discipline and knowledge to play in a midfield two.

If we go as a midfield three, in Thorne, Baird, Hughes, Dawkins, Henrick, Bryson and possibly even Weimann dropping deeper then I'd say we're very much settled in tha area.

Defence and keeper still.

plus DM

and maybe a bit short of a reserve centre forward.

maybe we could do with an Archie Gemmill or Willie Carlin

and a Mackay - a leader.

and a bit more pace

and a left sided centre back

and a freekick specialist

Free kick specialist? I thought Ince looked alright. Best we've had for years just outside the area. Genuinely felt we'd score every time he stood over a freekick.
