We're into the 5th round

We're into the 5th round, not the most convincing performance it seems, 3 at the back doesn't seem the way. Doesn't matter though, we're through. Interestingly though:

The following Premier League sides have been knocked out today:

Manchester City

Chelsea

Tottenham

Southampton

Swansea

The following have been knocked out in the 3rd round:

Newcastle United

Queens Park Rangers

Burnley

Everton

The following teams have been forced to replays in the 4th round:

Manchester United

Sunderland

Wow...

But we've changed the system in the 2nd half though. Hopefully other teams to do cup upsets tomorrow and Monday. Brighton/Bristol City and Rochdale to win maybe?

Run the stats oh stats guru.

When will we go out?

Seems you still don't know how that other analysis works, otherwise you'd realise:

- The previous analysis quantifying odds, not predicting what will happen

- That the cup is an entirely different kind of beast and that kind of analysis won't work

When will we go out?

I have done an analysis of all the previous winners to determine a probability matrix with the aim of establishing the most probable outcome for us in the current cup run.

I have factored out those teams who are already eliminated in the early rounds.

I made a appropriate statistical adjustment for those teams who have consistently punched above their weight in previous years.

I have fed the raw data into my computer model and run the programme several times into order to validate the findings.

After careful analysis i can predict that we will go out to the 8 times finalists and two times winners......

Old Etonians.

I reckon they are due a win.
