No Complaints

Deserved to lose after that second half. Forest the better team. Went to pieces when Hughes went off. No complaints, we were garbage.

Just as we saw last week, when it's a battle Hughes is the one who gets it down and plays. Without him, we sank to their ***** hoof ball and got out muscled at their game.

We have to go again. The biggest problem is it makes the game at Ipswich so pointless now.

See who has the last laugh in May, I guess. We will need to do a hell of a lot better if it'll be us.

Nail on the head. We were utter garbage in the second half, and got exactly what we deserved.

We have to sort ourselves out and make sure that we can keep playing when we're put under pressure. We're still in a magnificent position, but we won't be if we play like that a few more times.

If there is any positives to take out of the game, like Wigan and Leeds when we were also poor, it's so obvious where the problem lies that it should be easy to rectify with better players.

Bryson was invisible the second half. Did nothing but give the ball away.

I thought Bryson was no worse than Christie, Forsyth, Hendrick, Bucko and Keogh in that second half.

We were poor and to single any one player out is a little unfair.

The fullbacks? Really? Why?

They kept possession, did their job reasonably well and Forsyth in particular had the beating of Antonio all day long.

Our centre-backs hoofed it far too much during the second half, but only because none of the midfielders were offering. Hendrick and Bryson were utterly terrible in the second half, so bad that when they finally got the ball they just gave it away.

To be completely honest, the problem seemed to be that we struggled to clear our lines, and our defence was put under too much strain. Bryson needs someone solid in midfield to be useful, and without Hughes our passing broke down which led to us struggling to hold possession. With Eustace out, and Thorne still working his way back to playing we may well need another body in midfield who can play the Eustace role.

We also need another option up in the winger role it seems, but we'll have to see. Ideally by the Blackburn game we should have our business done for January and the team can start settling in for that crucial period between now and late March.

It'll be interesting to see Albentosa in defence.

They didn't do their jobs at all. In the system we play, we rely on our full backs to get forward and they didn't.

Their were only two players that had a decent game today. One being Martin who used his physicality and ability to win free kicks very well and the other was Ward who looked dangerous and lively. Russell was OK but no better than that.He needs to learn that you need more to your game than knocking a ball past a player and trying to beat them for speed.

Hughes going off was the main factor for me.

We completely failed to do what we do best which is control the pace of the game. We can play fast tempo direct football or slow tempo possession game but usually we're able to dictate which kind of game it is. Today keeping hold of the ball better in the second half would have subdued Forest but no-one was able to do this. We helped to give them the belief that they could get something out of the game and credit to them because they really outfought us.

I don't think we can have any real complaints though, Forest dominated us in the second half and we had no-one stepping up to the plate to take responsibility. I wouldn't hold any one player to account for this, they were better than us second half and made their dominance count.

It's one game in the context of the season, so we need to accept it and move on. It's a shame because it's not the first time we've missed a clear opportunity to capitalise but we have to put it behind us and moce on.

The fullbacks can only get forward when we have the ball or are set to counter.

What were you expecting during that second half? Forsyth to be overlapping Ward while Grant plants one on the head of Jack Hobbs?

Wont get any points if we play like we did second half, was more like relegation fodder on that showing, shows how important Hughes is at the moment.

Too many players in the team who panic when they are up against it, we seem to need to someone who is a calming influence but that kind of 2nd half display wont get us anywhere in this league.

How is us being garbage not a complaint?
