DerbyPride12
I know it kinda blows when people ask "What if...", but with Burnley and QPR doing so terrible in the Prem, how do people think we would have done compared to them? Personally I think we would be floating just above relegation, maybe around 15ht/16th/17th.
jagerbob
Id like to think we would be doing better than QPR, but im not sure by how much. I still think we'd be down there. We dont have the physicality Leicester do, and think we'd be getting bullied about a fair bit.

Bris Vegas
depends with we strengtened the squad in the right areas. If we kept this same team then we would be bottom No we wouldn't, absolutely not. The key to being in the Premier League is winning games. Having a winning mentality and not a 'avoid defeat' mentality adopted by Burnley is what keeps you up and allows belief to grow. I'm 100% with Steve McClaren that if we went up, when we go up, if we go up... That we will attempt to win games and attack with purpose. We may take a few beatings along the way for being open, but you'd rather lose 4-0 trying to win than 4-0 trying not to lose (Burnley at WBA). We'd have enough about us to win games and with our system and identity it will be far easier to target potential signings and have them fit in. Teams such as QPR, WBA, Sunderland, Newcastle and Palace minus Warnock are nothing teams. They have no style, no actual development or progression of how they want to play and they're just percentage sides which has its limits in the Premier League. Burnley have a style in fairness to them. But it's just not suited for the PL and it won't win them enough games to stay up - not by a long way. Derby with our style has every chance of overtaking the teams mentioned above and consolidating ourselves as a genuine PL club. We have everything going for us and the right people taking us there. top 6 finish
WBA who Bris calls a nothing team who just try not to lose, were playing Man U tonight for Bris' information Man U arenot a well-known side. They don't have a large following and don't have much money to spend, however they managed a 2-2 draw. What would we do without Mr Vegas's vast pool of football knowledge.

How can you be bottom three sliding down towards bottom after eight games? As for WBA dawing with United. Good on them. Doesn't change the fact that they're nothing but a percentage team who have no hope of reaching the heights of Southampton for instance who actually have a style/identity. -JW-
Name them. QPR, Burnley, Sunderland, Newcastle, Palace. We'd be competing with the likes of Hull, Stoke, Wba, Leicester in about 13th/14th place imo.
RLACML
We would finish above QPR, Burnley, Sunderland, Newcastle and Palace. I think we would comfortably stay up
Mafiabob
Name them. QPR, Crystal Palace, Burnley, Newcastle, Sunderland.... Competing with Stoke, Baggies and Leicester for 12th-14th. Bottom 12 of Premier League and top 16 of Championship there's nothing much in it.... Can we have your fountain of knowledge now and tell us why you think the Premier League is a class apart? Cisse
With a couple of really good yet realistic signings we could stay up.
needles
Calm down lads, current squad would need an injection of class and experience to start competing at that level. We'd be battling with QPR and Burnley, and we could upset anyone at home in a one off, but this side wouldn't stay up, not close.

I disagree, Light weight team in physicality department, lack of pace barring christie and Ibe (who is crap apart from his pace) The worst part of our team however is our in ability to have a crack at goal unless its a tap in. Only martin is a true striker of the ball. Hendrick is probably a poor next best Bryson wasnt a Goal scorer before he came here, and still is goal shy, Hughes is starting to add it to his game but again cant really strike a ball. I guess when we go up time will tell, be interesting to see who Macca would bring in, and more importantly who of the current squad he would want to replace with a quality new signing.
