AmericanRam
Overall,I think Craig has been very good this season and deserves some praise. His play down the flanks has been exceptional at times imo and he has really grown under Mac's tutelage.I easily feel he is one of the best lb's in the Championship no question.I also feel he is vitally important to our squad and our chances.Very happy he is a Ram. Thierry Ennui
He's been our most disappointing player this season, going forward. Christie's incredible start has shackled him. That said, he's been solid defensively.

Agreed. At times I think Craig has looked very good going forward as I said, but Christie is better in that area no question.Forsyth defensively as you said, has been pretty consistent all season imo. AndyB
He's doing fine for me. I just wish he'd picked out Calero at the back post at the City Ground after Ibe put him in just after Buxton had been sent off. A bit of composure from Forsyth then and we could have been looking at "we only had ten men" part two!

Mr Tibbs
He's better when he doesn't have time to think. Too much time is dangerous for our Foz.

i-Ram
His defending is really coming along, and I still love to see him charging forward, beating a man and playing good one two's, or beating his man with pace, whipping the balls into the middle. However, in truth even though I am 50+ I do still think my passing/distribution might be better than his. You can see why he was not making it in his early career as a midfielder. If he can improve his passing a bit he will be a very good fullback for a good few years.

Thoughts on Fozzy? I think this is spot on. There was a time when all were concerned about the LB position. The call for getting someone in were common. The lad has come on leaps and bounds, called up for Scotland and is amongst the best left backs in the division.
MuespachRam
and he should be on penalty duty from now on.
Daz_The_Ram
I too was a little bit twitchy at times about Forsyth last season ... found him a bit panicky. This season however, he has really gorwn and matured into the role. Looks very classy and accomplished defensively from my point of view. Unsung hero. Duracell
How many better left backs have we had since we've moved to Pride Park?
jagerbob
A lot. Maybe we should try name them all. Chris Powell was left back when we moved in.
Daz_The_Ram
Chris Powell of course springs to mind ... an absolute class act, silky smooth in every aspect of full back play. Tony Dorigo did extremely well for us too in the autumn of his career.
Animal is a Ram
Chris Powell. I had a lot of time for Gareth Roberts as well. Steady player, never understood the level of stick he got at times.
Tombo
Chris Powell. I had a lot of time for Gareth Roberts as well. Steady player, never understood the level of stick he got at times. He went forward too much, and then never had the pace to get back. When he stayed back he was solid at LB and was a good marker and tackler. Just have flashbacks to countless incidents of right wingers almost visibly licking their lips at the space he left when he charged forward and forgot he was in his mid 30s so couldn't get back. Daz_The_Ram
Gareth Roberts was rock solid in the end, but never in the same class as the likes of Powell ... I think he was rightfully crticised early on for some very poor positional blunders as mentioned above by Tombo. Opposition teams used to target him. However as i say, he knuckled down, played to his strengths, and was a part of a very formidable back four just before Barker got so badly injured. peakram
Schnoor wasn't too bad though didn't seem to get many plaudits, in fact would imagine most would say he was a flop, but everyone was probably comparing him with Chris Powell, he was better than Roberts for instance by some margin I'd say. Re Forsyth his defending has been OK but been very disappointed with his passing at times this season.
Daz_The_Ram
Schnoor was very useful ... very powerful player with no little technique and a decent free kick. Agreed, a better player than Roberts.
